My own mindfulness practice was built, day by day, in a children's cancer ward.

Our world in chaos we looked for a way to find some calm. The simplicity of deep gentle breaths helped us all to rise out of the crushing fear and overwhelm and find comfort and happiness in what we had. The present moment. 

What we could control was our internal world. How WE felt, our perspective, our energy.

We all face stress constantly. Our own expectations and thinking, relationships, managing work and family life, on and on it goes. A global pandemic. Our mind and body is under constant attack without us even realising it most of the time.

 

Yet how often do we consciously tend to our mind? Take time to soothe and regulate our nervous system?

Knowing how to calm and self soothe while under chronic stress stopped me from burning out. I also believe it helped my daughter heal and return to vibrant health. Becoming more mindful supporting the mental health and wellbeing of my entire family.

Mindfulness - a life changing practice - so utterly simple and accessible.

Not "woo woo" or crazy. Just a way of being that cuts through the chaos of the world and brings us back to center.
